Rays of Glory's Light: Stories of Grace in Times of War
For Veteran's Day (11/11/2015), Firefly Productions will be releasing an original collaboration called "Rays of Glory's Light: Stories of Grace in Times of War" as a thank you to our vets, both past & present. It will be released in multiple parts on YouTube starting on Saturday, November 7, 2015.
We would like your help in identifying veterans who may be interested in sharing their stories with us, of struggle, friendship, heroism, loss, etc. We are not only interested in just the veterans themselves, but would also be interested in the stories of wives, siblings or parents who waited back at home for their loved one to return, often making their own sacrifices. We are not only looking in the present day; we are looking back as far as the American Revolution, as we're sure there are stories passed down through generations. Ideally we are looking for veterans or individuals to interview who live in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, West Virginia, Virginia, or Tennessee. We ask that they have a single story to share rather than an overall description of their term in service, and we also ask that they be willing to provide some personal photos. The veteran and/or loved one must agree to be videotaped and have his/her recording, along with any photographs, shared via this documentary and any related promotion; no monies will be given in exchange for participation. The video will be launched on YouTube and we will also be making a DVD available for purchase. All proceeds (after the costs of the actual DVD & shipping) will be donated to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. (Please note that this is not an endorsement by Wounded Warrior Project, it is simply our charity of choice for this production.) Please contact us below if you would like to discuss potential participation in this project. |
