It's always difficult to come up with a special gift for that landmark birthday or anniversary, a co-worker's retirement party, or a soon-to-be graduate. Have you thought about a personal documentary video as a gift?
As much as we respect documentary legend Ken Burns, we aren't talking about something that formal. This is for a happy occasion, after all! We've seen from experience just how meaningful it is for someone to be given the gift of a "documentary" of themselves; to see themselves through the eyes of others is something one never forgets. To hear the stories, the heartfelt words, to see old photos...to have all these memories in one place...it is a great keepsake & one that will always be treasured. |

This process does take a bit of time & planning, but we're skilled in this area & will help make things go as smoothly as possible so you end up with an amazing gift that accurately captures that person (or people) you want to honor.

You will always receive:
Our Documentary Process:
- We discuss the recipient(s) of the video with you so we get a feel for their background, history, likes/dislikes, quirks, etc.
- You provide us with a list of people that would agree to let us videotape them while "interviewing" them about the subject(s). Depending on what is determined ahead of time, we will work together to schedule these sessions. Ideally we would suggest a place of your choosing; we are willing to shoot at several locations if needed.
- We will conduct interviews of the individuals identified. Each interview could take anywhere from 10-60 minutes. It just depends on how many stories they may have & the goal of the final video. Any special questions you can give us ahead of time that you think might make for a good response is always welcome. During the interview we will ask them to recall special stories or traits about the person(s), & we will also ask them to record a special message for the recipient(s) to be shown at the end of the video.
- If there is video from individuals who are not in the area but want to be included, we will gladly accept what you can provide to us.
- You provide us with any photographs (digital & print) you want included (we will try to accommodate as many as we can in the video).
- You provide us with songs (along with the singer/group name) that the recipient likes or that would have represented them at a certain point in their life. This can be one song or ten!
You will always receive:
- Professional recordings of the individual interviews in high definition.
- A
private page on our website, which only you will have access to, along
with anyone else you want to share it with.
- Based on the pre-determined time frame, we will post the finished video on the web page, after which we will ask for your feedback & any changes.
- Once you have given us final approval, we will provide you with DVD's of the finished video (Standard or Blu-ray)
- If you'd like, the
private web page can be made accessible for three months if you would like to share the video with others by providing them with the web address. They will be able to view
the final video, as well as purchase DVD's directly from our website if they are interested.
